US blacklists Russian defense entities, 33 individuals
WASHINGTON, Sep 21 (PRIME) -- The U.S. authorities have blacklisted Russian defense entities Wagner Group, Oboronligistika and the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant (KnAAZ), and 33 Russians allegedly cooperating with the defense sector or intelligence, a high-ranking U.S. presidential administration official said late Thursday.
The Internet Research Agency, Concord Management and Consulting, and Concord Catering were also included in the list.
“The president has signed a new executive order today; granting the state department an authority to apply certain sanctions. The U.S. secretary of state took two measures: firstly, added 33 Russians who act on behalf of the Russian defense or intelligence sector in the list of specially designated nationals and blocked persons,” the official said.
The act of blacklisting will put restrictions on contacts with the entities and individuals.
